Rick Kogan of Chicago Tribune and WGN Radio offers On the Job high praise

Veteran Chicago Tribune reporter and WGN Radio host Rick Kogan, himself a lifelong Chicagoan, offered this high praise for Daniel P. Smith's upcoming release of On the Job: Behind the Stars of the Chicago Police Department:

"Taking on no easy task, Danny Smith gives us a compelling journey into the hearts and minds and even the souls of those urban soldiers we call cops. As real and wild and fascinating as the streets they travel."

Kogan's words join the advance praise others have sent the way of Smith's first book, including remarks from former Chicago Police officer and present author Gina Gallo, former Chicago alderman Dick Simpson, and crime writers Lee Lofland and Richard Lindberg.
