Daniel P. Smith, author of the soon-to-be released On the Job: Behind the Stars of the Chicago Police Department, will appear at the Chicago Marathon Expo at McCormick Place on Saturday, October 6 from 1-3pm. Smith will appear at the Chicago Police Running Club booth.
Smith, an accomplished collegiate runner, will be running his first Chicago Marathon on October 7 on behalf of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation charity. He's aiming for a Boston Marathon qualifying time of 3 hours 10 minutes.
